KARACHI: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has directed Sindh chief secretary and inspector general of police to withdraw security protocol provided to former provincial ministers and advisers.
In a letter addressed to the chief secretary and IGP on Thursday, the ECP asked them to withdraw the protocol of former government officials immediately and send a compliance report within three days.
The ECP had earlier on August 15 sent a letter to provincial authorities for withdrawal of official protocol of the then members of former chief minister Murad Ali Shah-led cabinet and government officials.
