Shikarpur judge remands Ali Amin Gandapur in judicial custody till 25th

LARKANA: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader and a former federal minister Ali Amin Gandapur was remanded in judicial custody till April 25 when he was produced in the court of Civil Judge Sajjad Ali Abbasi of Shikarpur district on Friday. Mr Gandapur was brought to Sukkur on Thursday night from Lahore by police to produce him in the court in a case (No.78/2023) registered against him under Sections 131, 153, 504 and 505 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The FIR was registered on the complaint of a citizen, Amanullah Brohi. Stringent security arrangement were made when Mr Gandapur was escorted by police to the court. A large number of PTI workers were present outside and raising slogans against alleged excesses against their leader. They showered rose petals on the vehicle carrying him. PTI Senator Saifullah Abro and other local leaders were also present. The police had sought a five-day physical remand of Mr Gandapur but the judge remanded him in judicial custody. Lawyer Abdul Rauf Korai, PTI’s Larkana district general secretary appeared in court for Mr Gandapur. After the hearing, the PTI leader was escorted to the Sukkur Central Prison. 3 drug pushers, bootlegger held

Islamabad :Islamabad Industrial Area Police have arrested three drug pushers and a bootlegger besides recovery of narcotics and 120 liter liquor from them, a police spokesman said.According to details, a police team of Industrial Area police station arrested three drug pushers namely Kamran, Irfan and Shamoon Masih and recovered 320 gram heroin and 210 gram hashish from them,.Another police team arrested a bootlegger namely Ansar Javed and recovered 120 liter wine, bottles, stickers and brewing equipment from him. Islamabad: Ministry of Communications has taken pragmatic steps to implement the Axle Load Control regime on Motorways & National Highways in the country.
