Class 10 student electrocuted

GUJRANWALA: A student was electrocuted at Rahwali on Saturday. Adeel, a class 10 student, was ironing his school uniform when suddenly he touched a livewire. As a result, he received electric shocks and died on the spot.SEMINAR: A seminar on child marriage was organised at a local hotel here on Saturday. Education District Officer Qadir Baksh while addressing the seminar said that early marriage could affect the rights of the girls. The girls could not continue their marriage after their early age marriage, he told. He urged the parents to give full opportunities of life to their daughters. Health District Officer Sahibzda Farid said that both boy and girl face health problems in early marriages. He told that mostly underage girls lose their lives during giving birth child.12 GAMBLERS HELD: Police on Saturday arrested two dacoits and 12 gamblers from different areas. Garjagh police conducted a raid and arrested Salman and Azeem who were involved in dacoity and theft incidents and recovered cash and stolen articles from them. In another raid, the police arrested 12 alleged gamblers, including Yasir, Asif, Tayyab, Qadir Khan, Naeem, Wajid, Mohsin, Hassan, Naeem, Lala Waseem and Irfan. The police recovered stake money from the accused.

3 drug pushers, bootlegger held

Islamabad :Islamabad Industrial Area Police have arrested three drug pushers and a bootlegger besides recovery of narcotics and 120 liter liquor from them, a police spokesman said.According to details, a police team of Industrial Area police station arrested three drug pushers namely Kamran, Irfan and Shamoon Masih and recovered 320 gram heroin and 210 gram hashish from them,.Another police team arrested a bootlegger namely Ansar Javed and recovered 120 liter wine, bottles, stickers and brewing equipment from him. Islamabad: Ministry of Communications has taken pragmatic steps to implement the Axle Load Control regime on Motorways & National Highways in the country. Sole objective of this move is to control travelling of overloaded vehicles which lead to fatal accidents besides damaging the national asset of road network of billions of rupees.Prior to implementation of axle load control regime, a technical committee was formed, consisting of officers from Ministry of Communications and National Highway Authority which remained in constant contacts with transport community, Members of the Chambers of Commerce and stakeholders hailing from all the provinces.
