Rallies staged in KP to condemn Indian aggression

PESHAWAR: Rallies were staged in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday to condemn the Indian aggression and support the armed forces.In the provincial capital, rallies were staged at various places to express solidarity with the forces.The members of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat staged a rally in Khyber Bazaar. The speakers said they would support the armed forces if India attacked Pakistan.They were holding banners inscribed with slogans against India and supporting Pakistan’s armed forces.The speakers said that India should not resort to any misadventure, saying Pakistanis would fight alongside their forces if needed.Another protest rally was staged outside the Peshawar Press Club by the residents of Hassan Garhi, a village on the outskirts of the provincial metropolis. The protesters burnt the effigy of India Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian national flag.The students also staged a protest on the University of Peshawar campus to condemn the Indian aggression.The members of the Al-Badr Mujahideen staged a protest outside the Peshawar Press Club to condemn Indian aggression. They torched the effigy of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.MINGORA: The civil society, political parties, students and traders organised rallies in different parts of Swat to condemn Indian aggression and in support of armed forces.An All Parties Conference was also arranged at Swat Press Club where local leaders of various political parties participated. The programme was also attended by the officials of district administration.The speakers extended full support to the armed forces and said that defending Pakistan was the responsibility of every citizen.Earlier, a protest rally was arranged by the “Gujjar Youth Forum” at the Mingora city. The protesters chanted slogans against the Indian aggression and in support of the armed forces.MANSEHRA: The lawyer fraternity took out a rally to condemn Indian aggression.The lawyers, led by district president of the bar association, Basharat Abid Swati, marched through various roads. They raised anti-India slogans and pledged to support the armed forces in case of a war.GHALLNAI: Tribesmen in the Mohmand district staged a rally to condemn the Indian aggression and in support of armed forces for taking timely action against the enemy.The participants of the rally marched from Mian Mandi, Ekkaghund Bazaar, Ghallanai Bazaar. They chanted slogans against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and in favour of the armed forces. The protesters burnt an effigy of the Indian prime minister.KHAR: Jamaat Ishaat-i-Tauheed Wal Sunnah (JITWS) announced support to the Pakistan armed forces against India.In this connection, a gathering was organised wherein hundreds of activists participated.Addressing the participants, JITWS provincial head Mufti Sirajuddin, Maulana Abdul Shakoor, Maulana Abdul Jabbar and Maulana Jamshed Hazarvi announced their full support to the armed forces.Another rally was organised against India and in support of armed forces at the Raghagan Bazaar.DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The students of Gomal University staged a rally in support of the armed forces and against the aggression by India.Led by Prof Dr Sattar Bakhsh, Director, Students Affairs and Dean Faculty, the participants of the rally chanted slogans against India. They lauded the armed forces for taking timely action against the enemy.HANGU: Elders of Upper Orakzai, tehsil Ghaljo also organised a grand jirga in favour of the armed forces.The participants chanted slogans in support of the armed forces and against the Indian aggression.CHARSADDA: The traders staged a rally in support of the armed forces.The rally participants chanted slogans against India and vowed to support the armed forces in case of war. Traders’ leaders including Iftikhar Hussain, Hakimullah and others addressed the rally.

3 drug pushers, bootlegger held

Islamabad :Islamabad Industrial Area Police have arrested three drug pushers and a bootlegger besides recovery of narcotics and 120 liter liquor from them, a police spokesman said.According to details, a police team of Industrial Area police station arrested three drug pushers namely Kamran, Irfan and Shamoon Masih and recovered 320 gram heroin and 210 gram hashish from them,.Another police team arrested a bootlegger namely Ansar Javed and recovered 120 liter wine, bottles, stickers and brewing equipment from him. Islamabad: Ministry of Communications has taken pragmatic steps to implement the Axle Load Control regime on Motorways & National Highways in the country. Sole objective of this move is to control travelling of overloaded vehicles which lead to fatal accidents besides damaging the national asset of road network of billions of rupees.Prior to implementation of axle load control regime, a technical committee was formed, consisting of officers from Ministry of Communications and National Highway Authority which remained in constant contacts with transport community, Members of the Chambers of Commerce and stakeholders hailing from all the provinces.
