Objective portion of HSSC papers will be on OMR sheets

Islamabad: As the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) plans to hold the annual Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examinations in April, the candidates will take the objective portion of all papers on optical mark recognition (OMR) sheets like last year.They will also attempt subjective portion on the e-sheets for the subjects of Computer Science (I & II) and Biology (I & II) only.According to FBISE assistant controller of examinations (HSSC Conduct) Hafiz Qamar Zaman, the e-sheets have been designed in a manner that the candidates will write the answers of each question in the specified space(s) given for each question and part(s).He said all heads of the educational institution at HSSC level were told to share that information with students and prepare them to attempt the papers accordingly.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday paid tribute to an officer who embraced martyrdom during an exchange of fire in Tirah Valley’s Bagh area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Khyber district, the Prime Minister’s office said in a notification on Sunday. According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) today, an exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists on August 9 during which Lieutenant Uzair Mehmood Malik was injured. He succumbed to his injuries and embraced martyrdom at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) today, it said. “At one of the locations in Bagh, Lieutenant Uzair Mehmood Malik, leading his troops from the front, fought bravely and sent four Khawarij to hell,” the statement said. “However, during an intense fire exchange, the officer got critically injured and was under treatment at CMH Peshawar.
